TRAINING - PROVISIONING COURSE

This section contains the following information:

Aims

This course is aimed at provisioners and people who would like to get a feel for the switch without the technical detail of the Basic course. At the end of this course you should be able to:

  • Provision and configure Individual Lines of all access types
  • Provision and configure PBXs of all access types
  • Provision and configure Business Groups ("Centrex services") of all access types
  • Understand, provision and use the call services offered by the MetaSwitch softswitch system
  • Do basic troubleshooting if a subscriber reports a problem

Requirements

You do not need to attend the MetaSwitch System Overview course before attending this course. It will help to have a basic understanding of subscribers and call services.

In addition, participants need to know what level of access they are expected to have in the MetaView Explorer (formerly known as the EMS System Explorer): Tasks view / Object tree view / Find objects view. The Trainer will then only cover the features to which they will have access.

Daily schedule

The MetaSwitch Provisioning training course is offered as a customer-site training course and therefore the length will depend on the particular requirements of the customer - what material to cover, how much time to spend on practice etc. Please contact your Account Manager if you would like to discuss booking this course.
