This section contains the following information:
At the end of this course you should be able to:
- Identify the products that make up the MetaSphere product suite and explain where
the Unified Messaging Server (UMS) fits.
- Describe the role of UMS in a normal phone call.
- Configure MetaSwitch subscribers to use the UMS feature.
- Use the UMS configuration interfaces that a subscriber will use to set up their features.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on the MetaSphere UMS platform.
This one day course focuses on the features and function of the
MetaSphere UMS platform. Unified Messaging is covered both as a subscriber feature
and as a business group feature. Participants will learn what functionality is offered
by each component. Concepts are presented and reinforced with plenty of hands-on
lab activities to build skills and confidence.
You should attend the MetaSwitch System Overview
course before attending this course.
Note: The course depends on each student being able to access the MetaSwitch Portal
using an individual username and password. Please be sure you have a username/password to access the portal
prior to attending class. You can get the required information from your CSE or account manager.
The MetaSphere UMS Administration and Troubleshooting training course
is a full one day course starting at 9 AM and running until 5 PM. Please be sure
to make travel plans accordingly.
